Instacart worker here. Orders have two payment styles. They often have a bar code individually assigned to the order that is used for the customer to pay the store directly via an online purchase through their instacart account. The other method is a credit/debit card assigned to you by the company that shoppers use to pay at the point of sale like any other customer.
